4/3/2010 Art Work Description
The kiosk is inspired from the shearing of landmass which also acts as a metaphor of the weakened contact between parents and children. The kiosk is zoned into exhibition area and sentimental area.
The Finnish Pavilion is inspired by the geography and landscape of Finland. As a pure white curvilinear shape, the Finnish Pavilion embodies the aesthetic of purity and minimalism. All the functions are invisible to the outside which lure the visitors entry. The purity makes it as an outstanding and interesting piece of architecture in the Expo.
The beauty of the photo sources from several aspects. The composition of blue and green comforts human. On the other hand, the main object (the overlapping leaves) stands out in terms of proportion and clarity. The overlapping leaves also construct a change in green colour. These all element make the photo interesting and comfortable.
